FACT mix 75 by TRG – dubstep and house

Is it just me or is house becoming an important part of dubstep? Seems like a slew of dubstep producers and DJs are fusing dubstep and house (and what is this funkstep genre?).
It is the same thing with this TRG mix for FACT Magazine. I’m a bit surprised by myself, but I’m really enjoying this trend. What do you guys think and could anyone say some words about the funkstep genre (or whatever the kids call it these days)?

Laurent Garnier is playing on this weeks BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Techno/house tracks is what you can expect from this legend. Even though I’m more into harder forms of electronic music I would dance to this if I were at a club where Laurent Garnier played.

BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix this week gives us a mix from Steve Lawler. This guy is considered to be one of the biggest house DJs and producers in Britain so expect tons of house and related music. I’m usually not into this kind of music, but there are some good tunes in this Steve Lawler mix and it is nice to listen to something different from time to time.
