Butch, real name Bulent Gurler, is a former graffiti artist turned producer from Mainz in Germany. He’s released music on labels like Trapez and Cecille and hit the heights with his debut album ‘Papillon’ on Great Stuff. As a DJ he’s built up a dedicated following at legendary clubs like the Fabric in London and Cocoon in Frankfurt and he spent last summer as resident at Sankey’s Carnival in Ibiza.
Butch is Resident Advisor’s most charted artist and he’s been voted Best Producer by Groove Magazine for the past two years.”

“L Vis 1990 has entered the building for his debut Essential Mix!
L Vis 1990, real name James Connolly, runs one of the UK’s hottest club nights and label ‘Night Slugs’, alongside Bok Bok. His debut album, ‘Neon Dreams’, was released towards the end of 2011 and featured collaborations with Teki Latex, Para One, Julio Bashmore and Javeon McCarthy.
And the name L Vis 1990? Connolly explains it comes from a line in ’21st Century Boy’ by 80?s pop punks Zig Zig Sputnik. In the intro to the track they describe the ultimate band who are going to change the future by revisiting the past. Following a theme for this Essential Mix, L Vis 1990 merges timless classics from the likes of Carl Craig and Laurent Garnier, with brand new music for 2012.”

Adopted by the Swedish House Mafia, AN21 and Max have been propelled onto the world stage in the last two years. AN21, aka Antione Josefsson, is Steve Angello’s kid brother, whilst Max Vangeli was born and raised in eastern europe before moving to California.
As producers they’ve released music on mafia labels Siza and Refune and they’ve remixed the likes of Ellie Goulding and Pendulum. As DJs they’ve both just finished massive Ibiza residencies and have been named in the 5 DJs To Watch by DJ magazine. They are also set to release their debut album which will features collaborations with Example and Dirty South.”
