It has been a while since the Soild Steel Show has been posted, but here is the latest.
“This week, Boom Monk Ben cranks up the tempo with a 26 track smash up of UK Funky, ragga garage, dubstep, chunky electronic house, rave stabs and nuff global bass to make that batty wind, with music from the likes of Roska, Lil Silva, Fort Knox Five and Redlight.
In the second hour it’s the return of Powercut with reggae flavours and cheeky bootlegs. On the decks we hear tracks from The Dynamics, JStar, Mr Benn and Rodney P, sliced and diced with The Nextmen, Mos Dub and Black Grass.”

“Solid Steel in association with Serato (23rd April) Once again we hand over the reigns to the hardest working man in this mixtape game, DJ Moneyshot. This week it’s all about the dancefloor, as our rum resident takes us through the bpms with his trademark style and pizazz. With Halcali’s J-Pop, Funkdoobiest’s throwback Electro, and cone-melting Dubstep courtesy of High Rankin, it’s a party from the get go. And there aint no party like a Moneyshot party. Promoters take note: He’s available for bookings now… (he told us to say that).

Hour 2 welcomes Bristol resident, Powercut with his “Cover your tracks” mix and you guessed it, you’ll find a mighty fine selection of cover versions both old and new from the likes of Lettuce, Peggy Lee and The Jimi Entley Sound. It’s heavy on the drums and the funk, and mixed just how we like it.”
