If you haven’t heard, Benji B is taking over the Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 1. Congrats to him! Do you think he is a deserving replacement?
“Hip hop, dubstep and broken beats, featuring highlights from Notting Hill Carnival’s premier soundsystems – Rampage and Norman Jay’s Good Times.”

What a fun show! The last hour was dedicated to the live recording of Norman Jay Good Times and Rampage soundsystems. Each has 30 minutes. I enjoyed the NJ one more than Rampage. Probably too old myself.
Packed with good new and current tunes. Highlights: Jam City, Ramadanman, Ahu, Ananda Project, Dego, J-Rocc, Seiji, Andreya Triana, Taylor McFerrin and of course the classic Stereolab Dilla-esque tune.
Missing tracks from the playlist: Wiley & MJ Cole (“From The Drop”) played after Ramadanman; and Pinch (“Croydon House”) after Fluxion.
And that Taylor McFerrin track is the mysterious “Jordan Is Better” that Benji played 2 weeks earlier.
w000t! great news 🙂
