“Hailing from the Portuguese city of Viana do Castelo, the Bass Brothers have been making waves across drum & bass for a number of years now. Breaking onto the scene in 2011 with a remix of Dub Zero’s ‘Get Up’ the duo received a telling tip from Playaz associate DJ Hazard with the inclusion of their ‘Mr Jungle VIP’ on his FABRICLIVE 65 mix and a release on his Radius Recordings label. An invite to join the Playaz family soon followed when the pair’s tunes and their tireless creativity impressed DJ Hype who’s since comissioned them not only to work on their debut release for the label, but to also join him and the rest of the label in Room One for the Playaz Xmas Special on 28th December. So ahead of their first appearance here in Farringdon, the Bass Brothers put together this 45 minute mix in lieu of an introduction.”
