Dan Shake is Daniel Rose-Weir, whose rise began with 3AM Jazz Club / Thinkin’ released on Moodyman’s Mahogani Music in 2014. He’s earnt a reputation for his clever use of samples of funk, disco and soul rarities. His DJ chops have taken him all over the world, playing in places such as Beirut, Seoul, Florence, Cluj, Rio de Janeiro, Melbourne, Malta, Hong Kong, Medellin, Buenos Aires and armfuls of Balearic visits. His love of connecting to the dancers in front of him has remained at the centre of his DJ appearances: “My guiding motivation to do any of this is my crowd. I really love to work and drive them, hold the energy in a room and keep it surprised, excited and most of all happy. That’s what drives me the most out of anything.”
He’s just done a remix of Demuja’s ‘Love is Free’ and is currently working on his debut album.”
