“Tom is joined in the studio by New Zealand singer Hollie Fullbrook AKA Tiny Ruins. Having just released her third album ‘Olympic Girls’ via Marathon Artists at the beginning of the month, it was her first album for five whole years following 2014’s ‘Brightly Painted One’. So as well as catching up with her, we’ll also have to mention that collaboration with David Lynch!
Tom also has a guest mix from Elizabeth Bernholz, a Brighton based composer, producer and musician known as Gazelle Twin. Her spooky album Pastoral was released last year and became Stuart Maconie’s favourite album of the year. Did you hear this record???? Dark and spooky and idiosyncratic and political and just, bloomin’, original. It was her third album and is the project where the mix of electronics and acoustic instruments is at its most unsettling. To be honest, we’re a bit scared that she’s in the mix!”
