“In September 1978 the voice of a new reggae music presenter hit the airways for the first time on BBC London. This show celebrates David Rodigan’s 40 years in broadcasting!
Near the top of Blue Mountain Peak, with the most breath-taking view overlooking Kingston in Jamaica, MistaJam sat down with Rodigan to discuss his 40 years as a radio broadcaster and his love of reggae music.
He shares his legendary stories about his first club booking in High Wycombe as David RUDigan, cutting dubs at King Tubby’s, clashing with Killamanjaro and the time Bob Marley played ‘Could You Be Loved’ as an exclusive on his radio show.
The show also includes his performance on the decks at The Dub Garden in Kingston which features some of his most treasured dubplates.”
