Well here we go, this is my tribute to a genre of electronic music which I have always adored. These days it’s gotten a bit lighter and slower in the play but you don’t want me to step off the gas pedal now, do you!? My mix starts with the madness of Max Graham’s Evil ID before swimming through the choppy breaks of Rank 1’s Breathing and then gradually ramping up to take you on a rollercoaster ride of 4x4s with all their attendant breakdowns and builds. It was definitely more pounding back in the day – the JX track opening this mix runs on normal speed at a whopping 153BPM!! From there, I work my way through the memories finishing with one of my favourites from Danny Rampling’s first Love Groove Dance Party album which I played to death on hols to Majorca!
