“Tonight on the Hessle Audio show I’m joined by Candy Pollard aka Steffen Störmer for the final edition of our series focusing on specialist DJs from around Europe.
I met Steffen whilst playing in Heilbronn in 2013 for a night called Who The F*ck – I was really impressed, and we’ve played together regularly since then. Eventually we decided to DJ together back to back all night at an event in a small club called Pauline last summer.
It was a pleasure from start to finish – Steffen’s DJing is fluid and effortless; it felt as though we were really collaborating, and working towards something together. Most back to back sets take planning and constant communication, but it’s a testament to Steffen’s DJing that on this occasion we were able to allow things to happen spontaneously and communicate through the music.
He’s recorded a killer 90-minute mix for the show, featuring new and unreleased music from Roman Flügel, Edward, Huerco S, Tambien and a lot more… hope you can join us.”
