“London DJ foursome Horse Meat Disco bring soul, disco and Italo to the 6 Mix for a Friday night party.
Since 2003 James Hillard, Luke Howard, Severino and Jim Stanton, have been crate-digging and DJing together as Horse Meat Disco. Their parties are well known for both their atmosphere and eclectic selections, with the the group’s musical tastes ranging from house to gospel and classic disco to more cosmic sounds. They hold club residencies in New York, London and Berlin and have put out a series if compilations through the Strut label of some of their favourite club classics and rarities.
In this show, the guys take to the 6 Mix decks for two hours of music to keep you moving on a Friday night: James Hillard provides the first 30 minutes playing some soul and rare-groove, Severino and Jim Stanton take over for the middle hour with some newer, clubbier sounds and then Luke Howard wraps up proceedings and slows things down for the final half hour.”
