“This week it’s all about live music, following on from 6 Music Live. Gilles replays a selection of session tracks which have been on the station across the year; including artists such as Rosie Lowe, Neneh Cherry, Sun Ra’s Arkestra and a newly recorded one from US soul singer, Jarrod Lawson.
Jarrod, hailing from Portland, Oregon has shared the stage with the likes of Bilal, Average White Band and has even played at Stevie Wonder’s birthday party. In this programme he performs three tracks, which were recorded at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios, ahead of his debut show at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s in London at the end of October.”
