“As part of the Specialist Takeover on Radio 1, this week Gilles is on from 10pm, showcasing some of the sounds he’s tipping to do big things in 2012.
The showcases include music from SBTRKT collaborator Jessie Ware, new US/UK hiphop crew 2Morrow’s Victory, and Southampton beatmaker Gang Colours.
Plus Gilles speaks to Canadian live jazz/hiphop trio Bad Bad Not Good, and finds out more about the ever-consistent Soundway Records who are celebrating their 10th birthday this year! And if that wasn’t enough Gilles goes in deep with US singer Jesse Boykins III, who talks about how he first met Bilal, and plans to work with Sinden, Gold Panda, Machinedrum and Hudson Mohawke in the coming 12 months. Busy dude!
