“During Gilles’ recent trip to India with Studio Monkey Shoulder, he met up with New Delhi based community radio station Boxout FM to dig deeper into the diverse sounds shaping India’s underground music scene.
Boxout FM founder DJ MoCity brings together some of his favourite DJs and artists from India’s underground music scene including experimental vocalist Sijya and electronic music DJ’s Lush Lata and Stain.
Each guest shares insights into their music subcultures with Gilles and gives us a mix from the electronic dance and bass music driving India’s nightlife to downtempo rhythms and experimental synth sounds.
We’re also joined by record collector Nishant Mittal, owner of indie record shop Diggin in India. With nearly a decade of collecting rare grooves from around the world, he shares some of his unique Indian finds from his extensive collection.”
