This week it’s Zulu Guru, the first full-length collaboration from singer/songwriter Jesse Boykins III and producer/emcee MeLo-X, released in 2012.
Don says, “Jamaican-American Jesse Boykins III teamed up with Brooklyn’s MeLo-X to produce what was a whole new spin on the RnB /Hip Hop combination. We’re talking solid songs beautifully delivered and infused with elements of many other genres including Afro-Beat, electro, soul and Afro-Caribbean. It was this open-minded approach to more global influences that really gave Zulu Gurui ts distinct identity.”
