“The Don’s selections cross time, space and genre and include Crucial Vinyl from Badly Drawn Boy.
Each week, as well as picking key new releases and classics from the UK, USA, Jamaica and beyond, Don highlights a cherished album from his own collection. He explains why it means so much to him and features three key tracks. This week it’s Badly Drawn Boy’s The Hour of Bewilderbeast released in 2000.
Don says, “Damon Gough (aka Badly Drawn Boy) wrote, produced and played most of the instruments on his stunning debut album. The eighteen tracks (apparently whittled down from over a hundred) take you on a journey that’s a very British affair, and I for one sure am glad I got to go along because there’s something really special going on here.”.”
