Don says, “I actually couldn’t believe this lot were from the UK. With a sound that’s wise beyond their age, this Southport outfit featured three strong vocalists sitting on a multi-genre mix of experimental folk, psychedelia, rock and blues. There’s even a bit of reggae in there. This, their debut album, would see them beat The Verve and Massive Attack to win the Mercury Music prize that year.”.”
