Tom Ravenscroft 2011-04-22 guest mix from Dream Beach Records

“The show features a guest mix from Dream Beach records. This is a Moshi Moshi label which will feature contemporary african and non european music. The mix features Kenyan Kamba act Ngunni Lovers Lovers. Kamba is a fast, repetitive and melodic form of guitar music. The band come from a small town called Mlolongo and have been signed to the label. Tom will play a track that a listener found in a charity shop in the aptly titled ‘Charity Drop’. A listener selects a year and then picks 2 tracks from it and an object to put into the ‘Tom Capsule’.”

Dorian Concept live at Sonar Sound Tokyo – Main Stage RBMA Radio

Here is a sweet mix from Dorian Concept! Sadly no tracklist.
“Dorian Concept has made a name for himself at forward-thinking beat bonanzas around the globe, bringing his exemplary production skills to the live stage with Ableton and his trusty microKORG keyboard. With various 12”s on Nod Navigators and Vienna’s AffineRecords, a full-length album on Kindred Spirits, and a forthcoming EP on Ninja Tune, Dorian’s mix of sticky funk and overwhelming electronic chord changes doff a cap to hip hop and jazz, experimental electronica and classic virtuosity alike – just check his twisted anthem ‘Trilingual Dance Sexperience’ for proof. Catch him live on stage at Sonar Sound Tokyo.”

FACT mix 242 by Felix K

“Felix K – Felix Krone, to give him his full name – has been a respected and active player in Berlin’s drum ‘n bass scene since ’95. His Hidden Hawaii label was founded in 2008, providing an outlet for releases from himself, Crackle Wizard, Double O and other talents, but it was the launch, in 2009, of the QNS (Quantity Not Sufficient) imprint and production project – that saw Felix’s work reach a wider audience, striking a chord not just with fans of forward-thinking dnb but also those of techno, dubstep and adventurous electronic music in general.”

6 Mix 2011-04-24 The Go! Team

“Brighton based sonic alchemists the Go! Team take control of the 6 Mix. A 6 Music favourite, the band – masterminded by producer and DJ Ian Parton – have carved out a distinct sonic identity, mixing up samples from children’s TV themes, long-lost library music and obscure garage rock tunes to create an intoxicating musical brew. Their latest album, ‘Rolling Blackouts’, includes guest appearances from Best Coast’s Beth Cosentino and Deerhoof’s Satomi Matsuzaki as well as vocals from UK rapper Ninja.
Returning to the 6 Mix for the first time in five years, Ian plays a selection of music which has influenced the band’s sound including tunes from My Bloody Valentine, The Crystals and Enrico Morricone, and discusses his love of 1960s girl groups. He also plays a selection his favourite instrumental music, including tracks by Tortoise and Brian Eno, and talks about how non-vocal music has informed his musical make up.”
