I’m hoping he will take his sonar blip jingle with him. It’s definitely less is more approach.
I wouldn’t question Benji’s taste in music but I think one of the reasons why M/A is super popular is because of she is a rare kind of female DJ who has a real cool soothing voice and playing mostly male-dominated music to mostly male listeners!
Benji B is famous for championing Broken Beat which is not on the hot spot at this point. He always calls “dubstep” as “meditated music” which is quite interesting!
I will definitely support Benji B and wish him the best of luck.
I was actually thinking about the Benji B jingles last night. They are pretty cool!
I’m wondering how he will fare on Radio 1. From my statistics I can see that Mary Anne is way more popular than Benji. I wish him good luck!
Another jam packed this week. Feeling DVA, Breach, Funkineven, Cooly G, Mike Huckaby and it’s really good hearing the classic Moodymann again.
So he’s moving to Radio 1. It will be only 2 hours and we are not too sure if he would take his sonar blip jingle and the “wooo” sfx with him.
And it will be the end of his famous Midnight Request Line.
