Don says, “Commonly recognised as a master of the art of making new music almost entirely from samples, with the help of an Akai sampler, DJ Shadow’s extensive vinyl collection provided all he needed for this landmark work in instrumental hip-hop. Not bad for a record that’s, for most part, downbeat grooves with a few upbeat jams. In fact, it’s often cited as one of greatest albums of the 90s – crucial.”
