Ben Rau is a Berlin-born and raised DJ and producer who developed his sound on east London’s highly influential electronic scene. He runs two labels – Inkal and META – and is signed to Defected and Solid Grooves.
I can’t even describe what it means to have been invited to do the essential mix but I’ll try , the essential mix is arguably the most iconic electronic music show in the world I have been listening for well over 20 years myself , I would tune in on Saturday night and I would dream of the day that I might be invited to do the show. This Saturday that day has come, to be joining the greats like Daft Punk, @kerrichandler @masters_at_work_official and too many more to mention that I have admired for decades is one of those milestones that is so meaningful that it’s hard to find the right words.
I’m writing this sat on a beach in Thailand and my heart is full of gratitude thanks to everyone that has been on this journey with me I love and appreciate you all.”
