Here is a wicked (and short) of video of Thom Yorke playing at the Low End Theory in LA! Wish I was there!
If anyone know if there was a recording of this, please let me know.

  1. Thanks for your reply, Thomas! (No. 6)

Burial it is! Much appreciated. 😀

I think I was typing out my own post when you answered. 🙂

Yep, I can see Thom going in that direction too.
Like most of Radiohead’s stuff it seems to grow more and more on me as time passes by, and with repeated listens.

I remember when ‘Kid A’ first came out, and people thought it was too uncompromising and too leftfield, and they didn’t like the album. ‘Everything in it’s right place’ is now one of my favorite Radiohead tracks.

  2. Oh, yeah, BTW, any idea what the third track might be between Modeselektor and Madvillian? (02:10—02:44).

I just can’t get enough of this short clip! Haha… 😀

  3. It is Burial – Near Dark.

Yeah, it is really exciting that Thom is into this kind of music, but not that surprising when you listen to the latest Radiohead albums. Would be awesome if he did more collaboration with the dubstep/future garage/bass music scene.

Haven’t listened to King of Limbs that much, but I must say I was a little underwhelmed.. 😐

  4. What is the first track, Thomas? Do you know?

It sounds so familiar, yet I can’t quite place it?

No doubt as soon as you tell me, I will kick myself for not remembering! Hahahaha….. 😀

This DJ set sounds incredible! I really hope it was recorded. (I’m still looking).

Maybe Thom Yorke could be carving out a new direction for himself, away from Radiohead? I absolutely love the band, and I thought ‘King Of Limbs’ was good, but I have seen some poor reviews? 🙁

PS: The last track is Madvillain’s – America’s Most Blunted:

  5. I second that, Thomas! 😀

Hopefully, there will be a recording of the show by someone, somewhere. I’ve had a good look round, but no joy so far. 🙁

    It looks and sounds phenomenal!

Wish I was there too. 🙂

PS: The YouTube clips of Thom Yorke’s collaboration with Burial and Four Tet are up, following the Rinse FM exclusive airing the other night, posted here at Core News! https://corenews.me/floating-points-and-four-tet-on-rinse-fm-2011-03-15/
