Terry Farley in conversation with Gilles Peterson 2015-02-10

“At the end of last year, London Acid House legend Terry Farley swung by the Brownswood Basement for a chat with Gilles, discussing his ‘Acid’ compilation series, which dig deep into Chicago house and deep house from the mid to late 1980s.
Terry also discusses his role in the seminal club night, Shoom, the Boy’s Own fanzine he ran with Andrew Weatherall, and the Junior Boy’s Own label which birthed Chemical Brothers, Underworld, and many more.
Plus, Terry discusses London in the 1970s and 80s, his stance on the Punk movement, the role of ecstasy in the emergence of club culture, the role of the internet in today’s scene, and many other theories!”
