“Roberto Pla is dubbed the “governor of Latin music in the UK”. He formed the first ever UK based Latin group 25 years a go, prior to that played for Lucho Bermudez and has played for many others since including Motorhead. Roberto will be playing a 25 year anniversary show of forming his first London group at this years La Linea Festival for Latin Music, which also features an eclectic line up of Cuban rumba, Samba soul and Brazilian folk. Roberto will be joining Cerys to discuss the festival and the history of Latin music in London, something that dates back to 1940s.”
