Since his first album ‘Human’ in 2014, Max has become a key player in modern electronic music, with his blend of music designed for both the dancefloor and sit down experiences. His 4th album, last years ‘Yearning for the Infinite’ was born out of a commission from the Barbican in London. He created a bespoke audio-visual experience. As you will hear in this in depth interview, he used the concept of different interpretations of the infinite to drive the creative process for the album and the accompanying videos. Here he showcases some of the music and artists that have been influential to him, which is continued in his guest mix. It’s a fascinating conversation, and you’ll hear just how much thought goes into the music he makes!”

He talks about his time in Berlin, his first exchanges and meeting with Aphex Twin, and elaborates on his open minded approach to music. Even Madonna gets a mention! In his latest works, he says one of his aims is ‘to be free of the lock of the machines’. It’s a fascinating insight into the creative mind of the man machine that is Jeff Mills!
Xpansions are best know for their hit single ‘Move Your Body’ from 1991.”

“Nemone chats to the drum n bass pioneer Goldie about his career to date, and he delivers an exclusive mix featuring his choices of game-changing Drum & Bass tracks.
His name is synonymous with drum n bass. In 1994 he formed the Metalheadz label with Kemistry & Storm, releasing tracks from key players such as Photek, Dillinja, Adam F and Grooverider. His moment in time came with the release of his 1995 album ‘Timeless’, which featured the track ‘Inner City Life’, which is one of the most iconic tracks of the genre. The single is 25 years old this year, and he has just released the album ‘Goldie: Drum n Bass Life’ to mark this. The album is his look at the game changing tracks of drum n bass.”
