Marina Herlop is a classically trained pianist and experimental producer based in Barcelona. Her latest album, Pripyat is out now on the cult PAN label and is her first venture into composing music electronically. “The off-kilter rock trio select an hour of emotionally charged genre-bending experimental music. Alternative pop, grime & electronic R&B from the likes of Bunny Hoova, Iceboy Violet, Dizzee Rascal, Dawuna, Tirzah and more.
Based between South London and Glasgow, Still House Plants is a collective made up of Finlay Clark (guitar), Jessica Hickie-Kallenbach (vocals), and David Kennedy (drums). The group met in 2013 whilst studying at the Glasgow School of Art. Their fractious and sharp music bridges elements of sampling, slow core, repetition, and R&B that constantly breaks apart and fuses together again. The band have released on GLARC, Bison, BYM, and Blank Forms Editions and recently supported Tirzah on their UK tour.”

“The London-based multidisciplinary artist selects an hour of avant-garde music created with reel to reel tape machines & analogue media that have inspired his own artistic explorations. Music from Delia Derbyshire, Laraaji, Pauline Oliveros and Rober Fripp plus more pioneering legends.
Working with sound, performance and installation, Paul Purgas has presented projects with Serpentine, Tate, Kettle’s Yard and Spike Island and is currently an artist in residence at Somerset House. Originally training as an architect, he is also one half of the electronic music project Emptyset. This Summer, Purgas is presenting new work at London’s Southbank Centre as well as performing a special commission at Supersonic Festival in Birmingham who Freak Zone is partnering with and decamping to in July.”
