DJ.JESSPOND | TECH HOUSE MIX for QUEST LONDON RADIO | FFZ Volume 5 2021-12-03

“Here is the tech-house mix I played this weekend for Afterpartie’s 50th show on #QUESTLONDONRADIO FUSIONFridayz (03.12.21).

It’s high-energy, with a heavy baseline and cranked up sass. Chiquito’s “Dance of the Sugar” delivers a nostalgic breakdown to take you by surprise. And there’s a cheeky vibe throughout, with tracks to blame for this including… “I Just Want To Be a Lesbian” (Felix da Housecat), “Get Naked” (Riva Starr & Fat Boy Slim) and “Bobby and Ken” (Eats Everything). I hope you have a fun time listening.

DJ.JESSPOND TECHNO MIX for QUEST LONDON RADIO FFZ Volume 4 2021-10-29

“Here is my Techno debut which I played on #QUESTLONDONRADIO with the AfterPartie DJs on FUSIONFridayz this weekend (29/10/21). It’s a slow-burner banger… It opens with ethereal synths and dream-state English / Korean vocals by Korean producer Park Hye Jin (???). It picks up pace and gets a little cheeky with “Down to Strut”, the latest release by DJ/Production duo Prok & Fitch. Then this set just really bangs, with a couple of breaks and a number of killer tracks by artists including Carlo Lio and Marcel Reix, released on Edible Beat’s techno label EI8HT Records. There’s (at least) two mistakes I wish I had picked up in time… but I had a blast making it. I hope you like it!”

DJ.JESSPOND TECHHOUSE QUESTLONDON FFZ Volume2 Sep. 2021

“I would describe this set as a 60-min upbeat (unintentional) journey through the genres! It starts with a discotheque vibe from Zhu, ‘Zhudio54’. It then heads into electronica, with the club track ‘Read My Lips’ from one of my fave Tech / Progressive Producers, Danial Portman, as well as the catchy ‘Horoscopes and Marijuana’ from legend Ranger Trucco (I get the lyrcis to this one stuck in my head all day!!)… Finally, of course, I’ve thrown in some minimal and old school Bounce near the end from fellow Melbournian, local Duane Batrolo, with his bootleg version of Kiss’ ‘I was made for Loving You’.”
