Cee-Lo Green

Gilles Peterson Worldwide 2010-09-08 Cee-Lo Green co-hosts the show

“A very special back to back show this week with Cee Lo Green. The man behind Gnarls Barkley and an original member of Goodie Mob, Cee Lo joins Gilles for the two hour show, picking some tunes and getting deep in to conversation. Find out how he feels about his massive ‘Crazy’ track, what’s happening with the currently unreleased ‘I Want You’ and why he wrote a track that’s never going to get played on US radio! He also speaks about Prince’s private parties & how he found out about Adam Ant. There’s even a bit of freestyle singing in there to.”

Gilles Peterson Worldwide 2010-04-14 Music from Steve Reid, Cee-Lo Green and Benga

“With the sad news that friend of the show Steve Reid passed away on Monday night, Gilles played some music to remember him. We dug out Steve’s brilliant drum solo intro that opened the Worldwide Awards in 2008 alongside Steve’s Lions of Juda and some Wayne Shorter.
There was also music from across the spectrum including Scuba, Grooveman Spot, Mama!milk and a new tune from Cee-Lo Green that Gilles has waited three years to play!”
