Nemone’s Electric Ladyland 2018-07-07 Jon Hopkins is Nemone’s guest

“Jon Hopkins chats to Nemone about his illustrious career in electronic music, and film soundtracks, including his latest album ‘Singularity’. Which tracks have shaped him as an artist? What is he listening to now? And what experiences led to the making of his latest album?
After finishing his exams at the Royal College of Music, aged 17, Jon joined Imogen Heap’s band playing keyboards in 1997. He went on to produce or contribute to albums by Brian Eno, Coldplay, David Holmes, and others. He composed the soundtrack for the 2010 film Monsters, which was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for Best Original Score, and his albums ‘Diamond Mine’ (with King Creosote in 2011) and ‘Immunity’ (2013) were both nominated for a Mercury Music Prize. With five albums under his belt, Jon is also known for remixing a variety of artists, including Wild Beasts, Nosaj Thing, Four Tet, and James Yorkston. His emotive ambient music was even licensed to TV show Sex and the City back in the late 90s. An eclectic career indeed!
Nemone plays two hours of brilliant electronic music, new and old, from old skool dance, electronica, and beats to breaks, funk and hip-hop.”
