Great news for all us music lovers! Mary Anne Hobbs is coming back to BBC. She will host a Weekend Breakfast Show on Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 10am. The first show will be on the 5th of January 2013. You know where you can get the shows 😉
In my opinion this is awesome, especially since I didn’t really enjoy her shows on XFM as much as the BBC Radio 1 shows.

Hopefully she will bring is good music and interesting guests like she did back in the days. Anyone still enjoying Dubstep Warz from 2006?

Great news! That slot was previously hosted by a lovely Nemone. But I think the station needs to broadcast this slot from Salford in Manchester and Nemone couldn’t relocate to Manchester (eventhough she was raised there…or studied…or got her first radio gig?). MAH is perfect for this. Think she is based in Sheffield.
Big question is what she is going to play on weekend morning! Surely some Mala or any Hemlock releases would be out of place?

Yeah, I caught this today. Been missing MAH shows for a while now, so a new slot will be cool. An early morning breakfast show seems a bit early for a club DJ, though? LOL Thankfully, we won’t have to get up that early, as Thomas will make all of them available here at Core News! 😀

Hmmm, yeah it is a bit early. Will we get a revival of chillout? 😉

^^^ Haha… 😀 Yeah, it would be cool to see a nice laid back introduction to the day. I used to love the “Blue Room” on Radio One. Remember that? I would get up early to listen. That was before podcasts were even available! 😮 LOL Chris Coco still does a show over on Mixcloud called ‘Melodica’. Worth dipping into for the chill. http://www.mixcloud.com/chriscoco/
