  1. ^^^ Thanks, Thomas. 🙂
Yeah, I think you’re right. You might have mentioned before that the Filesonic servers being a bit creaky at times.
Download speeds seem to be better today, at around 400k/bs – 600k/bs
Yes, I’ve tried JDownloader too. 😀
No worries. One can only imagine the amount of work which would be needed, to undertake such a MASSIVE transfer of files!
I remember the last time when Hotfile nuked all your old files, before the Core News to FS shift!
What you put into maintaining this site is incredible! You’re a legend, Thomas! 😀

  2. I’ve always loved Gilles’s Brownswood Basements. He goes so deep with some of the tunes he selects. 🙂
Out of interest, Thomas, have you thought about a new filehost?
I must admit I seem to get poor download speeds with Filesonic, (>40kb/s), and sometimes they drop out completely.
I’ve noticed more and more people choosing Filepost, as they have a filehosting policy, which guarantees your file will remain on the servers.
But, I’ve never had a problem with Rapidshare either, and their speeds have always been excellent too. Oron seems to be deleting quite a lot of stuff really these days, hence why people are “jumping ship”.
Just thought I’d mention it. It’s an idea anyway. 😀

    1. Hi Lucky

I always look at other filehosts, but it is a major step to move as I have so many files at Filesonic. Would be many days of work to update the archive and move the files.

I have a lifetime premium account and most of the time the speeds I get from Filesonic ranges from 250K/s to 1000K/s (my max download), but sometimes their servers can be overloaded. They had some major problems yesterday, but you should not get below 40K/s as a rule.. Have you tried the JDownloader? Heard a lot of people in the UK had got results with it and it supports resuming of downloads (if you have a Premium account).
