“Gilles has the Black Country beat-master, Actress, live in the studio.
He brought in some new tracks, including a hot off the press remix of Kode9. He spoke about how he got in to making tunes, why he is called Actress and how he knows his way around the Radio 1 building.
Jam packed with fresh new music, Gilles played tracks from Throwing Snow, Uproot Andy, Elmore Judd, Take, SBTRKT, more Janelle Monae and a Kon re-working of a disco classic.”

One of the great shows this week. My personal highlights (in my humble opinion anyway) are Akale Wube, Linda Clifford, Throwing Snow, Uproot Andy and Tone Jansa Quartet (which GP picked up in Belgrade).
Actress was obviously sleepy and awkward in the studio. GP ignored this and asked the question like why do you call yourself Actress.

That Doble Filo Worldwide Intro is a re-edit version, made specially for GP show. I think the original version is called “Benny More” and can be heard in one of his old shows.
