BBC Radio 1 Huw Stephens 2010-07-08 Cate Le Bon in session

I got a request to record the Huw Stephens show on BBC Radio 1. I’ve never listened to it before, but after my first listen I find it to be quite good. Lots of new good music. Two of my fave tracks from this show is Caribou – Sun (everyone should definitely check out the new Caribou album) and Ill Blu – Bellion.
“The best new unsigned, underground and under the radar music with Cate Le Bon in session.”

  1. Thanks for this Thomas. Huw Stephens and Rob da Bank are doing great shows every week. Regular readers may think they are a bit indie guitar based music but both shows are having a quite broad and open minded music selections (as opposed to just one style like Drum n Bass or Dancehall). Plus Huw has a wicked sense of humour and Rob is always mumbling nonsense. Huw always play new music while Rob sometimes add some classic tunes.

Anyway the above playlist is not in order (blame the BBC page). The correct one is as follows:

    Teeth — See Spaces
Male Bonding — Weird Feelings – Sub Pop
    Envy — Normal – Stop/Start Records
Broadcast 2000 — All Is Said And Done – Gronland
    Ratatat — Bilar – XL
Mountain Man — River – Bella Union
