“Following her performance on the Big Top stage at Bestival, hosted by 6 Music, La Roux curates an hour long playlist of her favourite tracks. The show is in 2 parts. Part 1 is tracks that she used to dance to with her dad when she was young, and includes Buddy Holly, Fats Domino and Doris Troy. Parts 2 is music she dances to now, and is a mix of underground funky, disco and more twisted house records.
Otherwise known as Elly Jackson, La Roux released her Grammy award winning self titled debut album in 2006. She returned earlier this year with the follow-up, Trouble in Paradise, and ahead of a bigger UK tour in the Autumn performs at Bestival on the Isle of Wight.”
