Mary Anne Hobbs on 6 Music 2013-03-17 with Devendra Banhart

“Mary Anne Hobbs helms BBC Radio 6 Music with a beautiful Weekend Breakfast blend of music, stories and iconic guests.
In ‘3 Minute Epiphany’, Mary Anne asks an expert to answer the questions we most want to know about. This time around it is the turn of Venezuelan folk star Devendra Banhart, who describes the perils of musical collaboration. He has worked with the likes of Phoenix, Beck and Antony & the Johnsons, and he has some very interesting things to say about the sometimes traumatic process.
SUNRISER: Voyeur – James Blake
This morning’s Sunriser is a World Exclusive first play of Voyeur from the new James Blake album.
Seriously special.
And we’ll be playing it tomorrow as well …”

  1. Banhart’s 3-Minute Epiphany was fantastic! You need to have heard it.
Wasn’t too excited about the new James Blake track, it sounds too much like Retrograde in my opinion. We’ll see.
    Great selections otherwise, as always.
