“Having enjoyed support from various DJs on 6 Music, such as Lauren Laverne, Tom Ravenscroft and Gilles Peterson, and gracing the stage at the first ever 6 Music Festival last month, Kwes takes to the 6 Mix decks.
The London-based songwriter released his debut album, ilp, last October on Warp and as a producer, has worked with Dels, The xx, Hot Chip and Micachu. He has also worked with Damon Albarn & Jamie Hewlett on their opera ‘Monkey’, as well as Portico Quartet and Zero 7. In this programme, Kwes takes over the 6 Mix for two hours of musical inspirations and influences.”

A great show! Fantastic and varied selection of music, and also a very pleasant presenter. Soft-spoken, talks neither too much nor too little – very likable, I think he should be on more often.
The best bit must be his little laugh at the end, “you’ve heard her here first” =D
